2012 ABS Photo Contest Winners Selected
Six winners have been selected in the second annual ABS Global, Inc. photo contest.
In the dairy division, an entry from Bethany Couchman of California was named the winner. Her unique photo of a curious heifer captured the attention of the judges. Second place was awarded to Paul Trapp of Wisconsin for a photo of his son Kole with a young Brown Swiss calf. Michelle Schmitt, also of Wisconsin, captured third place honors with a picturesque photo of Hornstead Dairy and the Brian and Lori Horn herd of Brillion, Wis.
In the beef division, first place was awarded to Ricardo Arias of Wyoming and a photo titled “Smells Like Branding Time.” CJ Altenburg of Colorado took second place honors with beef heifers and a photo featuring breeding heifers in Walden. Finally, third place went to Merlyn Sandbulte of Kansas for submitting a photo of an ABS representative filling tanks.
Entries for the ABS Global photo contest were collected through the month of May, 2012. ABS would like to thank those that submitted photos for this year’s contest, and encourage fans to check out the 2013 dairy and beef calendars to view some of the winning photos and additional entries submitted to the contest.
